(2) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners may be permitted to make representation before the respondents No.2 & 3 for promotion on the post of Lecturer (Municipal) within a period of two weeks from today and direction may be issued to the said authorities to consider and decide the same, expeditiously.

(3) Prayer appears to be fair and reasonable.

(4) The petitioners are permitted to make representation before the respondents No.2 & 3. If such representation is made by the petitioners before the respondents No.2 & 3 within a period of two weeks from today, the respondents No.2 & 3 shall consider and decide the same on its own merit and in accordance with law preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of representation of the petitioners along with copy of this order. (5) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the respondents authorities would be at liberty to decide the same in accordance with law. (6) With the aforesaid observation, the petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
