1. In view of the judgment passed by the Apex Court in Civil Appeal Nos. 12164-12166 of 2016 (The State of Tamil Nadu & Ors.

Vs. K. Balu & Anr) the liquor shops from 1st April 2017 will have to set up as per guidelines framed by the Apex Court. Therefore, nothing remains in this petition for consideration by this Court. The petition is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the State of Chhattisgarh that it shall take into consideration the judgment of the Apex Court in K. Balu (supra) dated 15th December, 2016 while granting licences for the sale of liquor in the State of Chhattisgarh.
