The limited relief that the Petitioner has sought for in the present Writ Petition is that the husband of the Petitioner expired as early as on 27.8.2015, however, the family pension has till date not been finalized by Respondents. 2.

Perusal of the pleadings show that there was some dispute in respect of legal heirs of the deceased and now the competent Civil Court has already issued appropriate orders in favour of Petitioner.

Given the subsequent development that has transpired, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the present Writ Petition pending and therefore the matter is being disposed of directing Respondents No. 2 & 3 to ensure that the pension payable to the Petitioner is settled in accordance with law, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of presentation of copy of this order by the Petitioner. 4.

It is made clear that the order of this Court is only so far as grant of family pension to Petitioner is concerned.
