The relief sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondent No.4 for issuance of an appropriate character verification report pertaining to the petitioner required for the purpose of his employment that he has got under the respondents No. 1 to 3.

From perusal of the pleadings, the counsel for the petitioner himself submits that before coming into the employment itself the petitioner was involved in a couple of criminal cases and those criminal cases

have resulted in his acquittal, however inadvertently this was not disclosed to the employer at the time of his appointment and subsequently the employer has sought for clarification of the petitioner and has also sought for a character verification report from the respondent No.4, which till date has not been issued. 3.

Considering the limited grievance that the petitioner has, the respondent No.4 is hereby directed to ensure that appropriate character verification report after due verification of the criminal antecedents of the petitioner is furnished to the respondents No.1 to 3 at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands allowed and disposed of.
