1. Learned counsel appearing for the applicant would submit that the respondents have not considered the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in view of the order passed by this Court in WP (S) No.590 of 2016.

2. Be that as it may, the respondents are directed to take decision on the petitioner's application for compassionate appointment in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. The petitioner is at liberty to make additional representation, if any.

3. With the aforesaid observation, the contempt case stands disposed of.

4. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits of the case and the authority concerned is free to

decide the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in accordance with law.
