Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are Head Constable at Sarguja Range though they have been qualified to be

promoted as Assistant Sub Inspector and their qualifications were evaluated but promotion were not considered. He submits that similarly placed persons in police department at Durg Range has been promoted but case of the petitioners are not being considered, therefore the petitioners may be given liberty to file representation before the respondent No.3 Inspector General of Police, Sarguja Range to consider their promotional avenue.

Perused the documents filed alongwith the petition. Considering the limited prayer made, it is directed that the petitioners may make fresh representation to the respondent No.3 Inspector General of Police, Sarguja Range, District Sarguja within a period of 15 days from today and thereafter Inspector General of Police may decide representation of the petitioners within a further period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the representation. It is further made clear that this court has not made any observation on the merits of the case.
