The Petitioners have instituted this matter as Public Interest Litigation essentially pointing out that necessary steps are not being taken by the respondents in conformity with the laws as regards the allegations against the officers and employees, who have meddled with the funds and have also caused loss to the public exchequer. We are told that the Petitioners themselves have initiated action before the Lok Ayog which is a statutory institution in this State.

2.

Under such circumstances, this writ petition is closed clarifying that the proceedings before the Lok Ayog would obviously be carried to its logical end in accordance with law. We also record the request of the Petitioners that such proceedings may be expedited and for which the respondents have to co-operate as may be directed by the Lok Ayog. 3.

The writ petition is ordered accordingly leaving open all the issues. Sd/- Sd/- (Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan) (Pritinker Diwaker) Chief Justice Judge Chandra
