Through this Public Interest Litigation petition, grievance ventilated by the petitioner is that large chunk of Government land has been encroached. The prayer made in the petition is to direct the State Authority to take necessary action for dispossession of encroacher from the Government land. 2.

After going through the petition, we are afraid, the petition suffers from vagueness. The pleadings are utterly vague, unspecific, giving no details. In the writ petition, bald statement has been made that the Government lands

-2have been encroached and along with petition some of the Revenue entries showing certain lands recorded as Government land has been filed. Which part of which particular land has been encroached and who has encroached, is completely missing in the petition.

Only in the name of the public interest litigation, we cannot enter into a roving enquiry to find out wherever encroachment is made. Therefore, the present PIL is liable to be dismissed only on the ground of being vague, unspecific and lacking in material details and is accordingly dismissed. 4.

Dismissal of PIL would not mean that this Court has given any verdict in respect of any of the Government land. It shall always be open for the competent Revenue Authority to take action against encroachment as and when it is brought to the notice.
