1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is to the inaction on the part of the respondent No.3 in not issuing the promotion orders in respect of the petitioner which has been found fit for promotion from the post of Lab Technician to the post of Technical Assistant.

2. According to the petitioner the DPC also in this regard was convened and DPC has found the petitioner to be fit and eligible for promotion.

3. Given the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, moreover taking note of the contents of the letter Annexure P-5 issued by the Additional Director to respondent No.3 the present writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the Additional Director and respondent No.3 to ensure that recommendations that DPC convened in respect of the petitioner for promotion from the post of Lab Technician to the post of Technical Assistant be considered and appropriate decision be taken in this regard at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
