Appeal preferred by respondent No.1 before the Collector, Dhamtari challenging her removal from the Office of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Sankra, District Dhamtari is pending consideration. Having obtained interim relief from the Appellate Authority, the respondent No.1 is protracting the litigation and the Appellate Authority is not proceeding with quite promptness to dispose of the pending appeal.

Therefore, the petitioner has preferred this writ petition seeking to quash the interim order dated 04.07.2016 passed by the Appellate Authority in favour of respondent No.1. 2.

Considering the fact that the interim order is operative for last about 6 months, instead of interfering with the said interim order, ends of justice would be served if the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Collector, Dhamtari to dispose of the appeal preferred by respondent No.1, on its own merits, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of submission of certified copy of this order. It is ordered accordingly. 3.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
