The limited relief sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent No.2 to 4 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

The father of the petitioner died in harness on 15.02.2021 working on the post of Peon under the respondent No.4. On the date of death, he was survived with his wife and five children. On the date of death three daughters of the petitioner were already married and were

staying at her matrimonial home and it was the widow of the petitioner and two sons, who were totally dependent upon the income of the deceased. The petitioner has moved an application for grant of compassionate appointment after completing all the requisite formalities on 28.05.2021, but the same has till date not been decided.

Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents No.2 to 4 to take an appropriate decision in accordance with the Rules governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
