1. The grievance of the petitioner is that the husband of the petitioner while working as a Sub-Inspector in one of the naxalite affected areas died on 16.05.2015.

2. The petitioner immediately thereafter had applied for grant of compassionate appointment. The respondent authorities vide Annexure P/2 taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner is a highly qualified lady had offered her on appointment on the post of A.S.I.(M). The letter of the Assistant Inspector General of Police has been sent to the higher authorities to the police headquarters and the authorities in the police headquarters have further sent the matter to the Principal Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, Home (Police Department) for their necessary approval and sanction and for want

of sanction and approval, the petitioner has not been provided compassionate appointment till date.

3. Considering the limited grievance of the petitioner that the respondents have till date not taken a final decision in the case of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment, this Court does not intend to keep the petition pending, rather ends of justice would meet if the respondents No.1 & 2 are directed to take suitable decision at the earliest so far as the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment is concerned.

4. Let this exercise be concluded at the earliest in accordance with the rules governing the field within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of the order of this Court.
