Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board /12/2020 1.
The limited grievance that the Petitioner has in the present Writ Petition is the non-consideration of her application for grant of compassionate appointment. 2.
According to learned Counsel for Petitioner, the father of the Petitioner, who was working as Lower Division Clerk under Respondent No.2-University, died in harness on 23.2.2013. Immediately thereafter, the Petitioner moved an application for grant of compassionate appointment but till date no decision has been taken by the Respondent on the same.
3.
Given the submission that the application of the Petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment is still pending consideration before Respondent No.2-University as stated by the Petitioner, this Court is of the opinion that as of now the present Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the Respondent No.2University to take an appropriate decision on the same in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the field, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of presentation of copy of this order by the Petitioner. 4.
It is however made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
5.
Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) /sharad/ JUDGE
