Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Counsel for Petitioner confines his relief claim to the extent that the Petitioner has already made a representation to the Respondents in respect of his grievance so far as non-considering the Petitioner for promotion from the post of District Auditor to the post of Assistant Director be decided at the earliest. Learned Counsel for Petitioner makes a prayer that the representation that the Petitioner has made be considered by the concerned authority.

The limited prayer made by learned Counsel for Petitioner is not opposed by learned State Counsel as well as by learned Counsel appearing for CGPSC. 3.

Accordingly, the present Writ Petition is being disposed of directing Respondent No.4 to take an appropriate decision on the representation of the Petitioner, purely in accordance with the laws governing the field, at the earliest, preferably within a period of ninety days.
