1. The counsel for the petitioner at the outset makes an oral request for making necessary corrections, so far as the petitioner's name is concerned.

2. Not opposed.

3. Accordingly, let necessary corrections be carried out during the course of the day itself.

-24. The claim in the present Writ Petition is for an appropriate direction to the Respondents No. 3 to 5 to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

5. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner died-in-harness on 18.11.2016 working on the post of Assistant Teacher (Panchayat). The petitioner had moved an application which is till date not finalized and there have been recommendation made by the Respondent No. 4 to the Respondent No. 5 for an appropriate decision but which till date, has not been taken at the level of the Respondent No. 5.

6. Given the said facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that, all the schools work under the Panchayat Department has now got merged with the Education Department, the question of grant of compassionate appointment appears to be with the Respondent No. 5.

7. In view of the same, let Respondent No. 3 to 5 take all necessary steps to ensure that the claim of the petitioner is decided at the earliest, within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.
