The instant petition has been filed seeking a direction to release the pension and gratuity of the petitioner, who has retired from services of the respondents-Municipal Corporation.

During the course of argument, a document has been placed on record dated 16.05.2019 and would submit that the Municipal Corporation has already forwarded the case of the petitioner to the Deputy Director (Pension) to the office of respondent No.2 and submits that the said direction may be complied forth with.

Considering the fact that the petitioner was superannuated on 30.04.2018 and more than a year has been passed. The letter dated 16.05.2019 would
-2show that the Municipal Corporation has forwarded the case of the petitioner for payment of pension and gratuity to the Deputy Director (Pension). 4.
In view of the same, the respondent-State is directed to proceed in the case of the petitioner as per the Rules and finalize the payment of gratuity and pension within an outer limit of 45 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
