1. The limited relief sought for by the petitioner in this petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to make a representation so far as granting of benefits of selection grade as also senior grade which has been given to the persons who are immediate junior to the petitioner from the retrospective date during the period when the petitioner was not placed under suspension.

2. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case so far as entitlement of the petitioner is concerned, the petitioner is permitted to approach the authorities by way of a suitable representation which the authorities shall consider and decide in accordance with rules governing the service conditions of the petitioner.
