Meera Bai v. State Of Chhattisgarh
HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH, BILASPUR Order Sheet WPS No.5142 of 2018 Meera Bai W/o Late Kisan Lal Aged About 43 Years R/o Ward No. 3 Labour Block West Chirmiri Pondi, District Korea, Chhattisgarh, District : Koriya (Baikunthpur), Chhattisgarh ---- Petitioner
Versus
1. State Of Chhattisgarh Through Its Secretary, Department Of Urban Administration Development Mahanadi Bhawan Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, District : Raipur, Chhattisgarh
2. Commissioner, Nagar Palika Nigam, Chirmiri, District Korea, Chhattisgarh, District : Koriya (Baikunthpur), Chhattisgarh.
---- Respondents 10/08/2018 Shri Waquar Naiyar, Advocate for the petitioner. Shri DK Wankhede, Govt. Advocate for the State. Shri Sudip Agrawal, Advocate for respondent No.2. The only grievance of the petitioner is that on the death of her husband she has raised her claim for compassionate appointment on 06.07.2017, however the authorities concerned have not decided her application till date.
Given the limited prayer, this court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending. Rather ends of justice would meet if this petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2 to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner in accordance with rules governing the scheme for compassionate appointment so far as respondent No.2-establishment is concerned at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) Judge Inder
