1. After arguing for sometime, the limited prayer that the petitioner makes is for an appropriate direction to the authorities concerned to ensure that the departmental enquiry initiated against the petitioner is concluded at the earliest.

2. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the charge sheet was issued as early as on 10.04.2018 and it is more than one year and four months time, except for appointment of the enquiry officer, no further development has taken place.

3. Given the aforesaid facts, this court is of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner seems to be fair and reasonable. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to

ensure that the departmental enquiry initiated against the petitioner is concluded at the earliest preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
