1. The only grievance of petitioner at present is that in the seniority list of Assistant Engineers under the respondents the name of petitioner is not reflected.

2. The contention of petitioner is that he was initially appointed as a Sub Engineer and in due course of time, he stood promoted from the post of Sub Engineer to the post of Assistant Engineer vide order dated

23.09.2016. The further contention of petitioner is that since 23.09.2016 he has been discharging the duties of an Assistant Engineer and he has also been receiving all the facilities attached to the post of Assistant Engineer. The only grievance of petitioner as of now is that in the seniority list of Assistant Engineers, the name of petitioner is not reflected and if at all if the next promotion process is initiated for filling up of the post of Executive Engineer, the petitioner may be left out.

3. Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents 2 & 3 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of petitioner for adding his name in the seniority list of Assistant Engineers under the respondents at the earliest. Let an appropriate decision be taken within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
