1. When the matter is taken up for consideration, it is brought to our notice by the learned counsel representing the State that exactly similar appeals,

which were pending before this Court as WA No.363/2016 and connected cases, were considered and decided by this Court as per the judgment dated 23.10.2019.

2. The learned counsel representing the State submits that the issue is squarely covered by the said judgment, whereby it has been held that the appeals were devoid of merits, in turn leading to their dismissal.

3. In the said circumstances, this appeal is also dismissed in terms of the judgment dated 23.10.2019 passed in WA No.363/2016 and other connected cases.
