1. The limited relief sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for grant of additional 40 percent of the revised family pension on reaching the age of 90 years in terms of the circular dated 31.08.2009 issued by the Government of Chhattisgarh, Finance Department.
2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner herein has already crossed ninety years of age and entitled for the benefit in terms of circular
Annexure P-1 dated 31.08.2009. The counsel for the petitioner further submits that for the reason, the petitioner has already made a representation to the Punjab National Bank vide Annexure P-2 on 30.08.2019, but till date the respondents authorities have not decided the same.
3. Given the said facts and also considering the age of the petitioner, who is more than 90 years of age, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed off directing the respondent no. 1, 2 and 4 to immediately take necessary steps in deciding the claim of the petitioner for grant of the enhanced pensionary benefits on crossing the age of 90 years.
4. Let this exercise be completed by the respondents no. 1, 2 and 4 within a period of ninety days from the date of receipt of petitioner's representation. The petitioner is further directed to file appropriate representation with all relevant records to the respondents no. 1, 2 and 4 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.
