1. This petition would call in question the constitutional validity of the amendment in the Chhattisgarh Police Executive (Non-Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2006 (for short 'the Rules, 2006'), as also the notification dated 6.5.2014 insofar as it relates to non-adding of the post of Inspector (Cyber Crime) in Schedule-I and IV of the Rules, 2006. The petitioners would also pray that the post of Inspector (Cyber Crime) in the Rules, 2006 be added for promotion to the next higher post.

2. In the return filed by the State, it is stated that the necessary amendment for redressal of grievance of the petitioners is already proposed and pending. In course of hearing, learned Additional Advocate General would state that necessary amendment in the Rules, 2006 shall be tabled in the next session of the State Assembly.

3. In view of the above, nothing survives in the writ petition for adjudication. Let necessary amendment in the Rules, 2006 be made in the next Assembly Session or within a period of 6 months, whichever is earlier.

4. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Sd/- Sd/- (Prashant Kumar Mishra) (Parth Prateem Sahu) Acting Chief Justice Judge Barve
