1. For the moment the defaults pointed out by the Registry stands ignored.

2. With the consent of the parties, the matter is heard and finally disposed off at the motion stage itself.

3. The only grievance which the petitioner has raised is that the respondent authorities have not considered the claim of the petitioner for grant of time scale pay, which has been given to similarly other persons.

4. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already made a couple of representations to the authorities concerned, which are collectively marked as Annexure P/3, yet no decision has been taken on these by the authorities concerned and therefore

prays for a suitable direction for the representation of the petitioner to be decided at the earliest.

5. The said limited prayer of the petitioner is not opposed by the State counsel.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed off with a direction to the respondent No.2 to take a decision on the representation of the petitioner objectively. In case the petitioner is entitled for the benefit of time scale, the same shall be released to the petitioner forthwith from the date he became eligible for the same, and if not, let the petitioner be intimated as to the reasons, why he is not entitled for.

7. Let this exercise be completed within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.

8. Needless to mention that the petitioner would also be at liberty to file a fresh representation, if he so chooses.
