1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the non granting of the recognition of the B. Tech(Civil) degree which the petitioner has obtained from the IGNOU by the respondent State i.e. the employer of the petitioner.
2. Counsel for the petitioner at the outset submits that taking into consideration that only few months of service is left of the petitioner to retire, he may be permitted to approach respondent No.1 by making a
detailed representation for ventilating his grievance so far as recognizing the B. Tech (Civil) degree that he has obtained from IGNOU for the purpose of treating him to be the Degree holder rather than Diploma holder which would enable him to be considered for promotion.
3. Be that as it may, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of permitting the petitioner to approach respondent No.1 by making detailed representation and on such representation being made respondent No.1 is expected to take a decision at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of representation to be made by the petitioner.
