Ms. Akansha Jain, Dy. GA Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 06/08/2019

1. The prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for appointment as a Guest Faculty against the vacant post that is lying in the department.

2. According to the petitioner she was appointed as a Guest Faculty for the academic session 2017-18 and after completion of academic session in 2018 she has not been engaged again. Contention of the

petitioner further is that there are two posts available under the respondent No. 3 School, and by which one post is still lying vacant which was not filled up in the previous academic session also and therefore department may consider granting appointment to the petitioner against the said post.

3. Considering the fact that petitioner already stood discontinued from service in the year 2018 itself, this Court at this juncture does not find any strong case made out for directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Guest Faculty.

4. However, the petitioner may approach respondent No. 3 by making suitable representation by putting forth her claim and which the respondent No. 3 may decide in accordance with the rules and guidelines governing the field and also subject to the requirement of the Guest Faculty in the college.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands disposed off. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) Judge Rohit
