The limited relief that the Petitioner has sought for in the present Writ Petition is for an appropriate direction to Respondents for taking a decision on the appeal that the Petitioner has preferred against the order of punishment of stoppage of one increment with cumulative effect. 2.

Contention of learned Counsel for Petitioner is that the appeal was preferred by the Petitioner as early as on 17.10.2016 but till date the same has not been decided by the Respondent authorities. 3.

Given the said fact, let Respondent No.2, the Appellate Authority, decide the appeal of the Petitioner at the earliest, preferably within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.
