1. The grievance of the petitioner is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

2. Facts of the case are that the father of the petitioner was working under respondents 2 & 3 as a Sub-Engineer. He died while in service during duty hours in the office premises itself on 11.01.2018. The petitioner

immediately applied for compassionate appointment on 08.02.2018 but till date the claim application has not been finalized.

3. Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has raised, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending, rather ends of justice would meet if the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 2 & 3 to take a decision on the claim application of the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is expected that the respondents 2 & 3 shall keep in mind the decision rendered by the Division Bench of this Court in Writ Appeal No. 131/2010 decided on 25.04.2012 while deciding the claim application of the petitioner.
