1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not providing promotion to the petitioner on the post of Staff Nurse in spite of the petitioner successfully completing GNM course/training.

2. Counsel for the petitioner refers to Annexures P-3 & P-5 issued by the State Govt. for considering the cases of all those persons who have completed GNM course, for promotion to the post of Staff Nurse.

3. Given the fact, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending, rather ends of justice would meet if the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 2 & 4 to take an appropriate final decision in the case of the petitioner in accordance with the directives given by the respondent no.1 in this regard, at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
