Shri Lav Sharma, Panel Lawyer Hon'ble The Vacation Judge Order on Board 26/05/2017 The applicant has preferred this application under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of bail as he has been arrested in connection with Crime No. 9 of 2017 registered at Police Station Nevra, District Raipur (Chhattisgarh) for the offence punishable under Section 20-B of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act.

The concerned Police has recovered 2 Kg. Ganja from the possession of the applicant on 04.01.2017 and since thereafter, he is in jail. 3.

Learned State counsel would oppose the prayer for grant of bail. However, he would submit that the concerned SHO has not reported any previous antecedent of the applicant's involvement in commission of the similar nature of crime.

Considering the length of pretrial detention, this Court is inclined to release the applicant on bail.

Accordingly, the bail application is allowed. The present applicant is directed to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- with one surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the

concerned trial Court. He is directed to appear before the trial Court on each and every date given by the said Court.
