1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking a limited direction for the authorities to decide the claim of the petitioner where the petitioner has sought for being provided the duties of an Assistant Accounts Officer i.e. the post on which the petitioner stood promoted vide order dated 28.07.2012.
2. According to the petitioner, vide the said order dated 28.07.2012 the petitioner was promoted on the post of Assistant Accounts Officer from the post of Assistant Grade-I, yet the petitioner till date is discharging the work of a Section incharge and not that of an Assistant Accounts Officer. He has made repeated representations in this regard to the authorities, but he could not get any remedy.
3. Given the aforesaid undisputed facts, let the respondents No. 2, 3 & 4 take an appropriate decision on the representations, which the petitioner has made to each of the respondents so far as granting him the charge of the Assistant Accounts Officer, which he is otherwise entitled for by virtue of promotion order issued to him.
4. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case so far as the entitlement of the petitioner is concerned. The authorities concerned would be at liberty to take suitable decision in accordance with the administrative exigencies in the department.
