Sam Koshy Order On Board 23.08.2018 The grievance of the petitioner is that he is eligible and entitled for being promoted to the post of Inspector (M) in the light of SOP No. 22 of 2011 dated 23.05.2011 wherein Clause 2(b)5 deals with the benefit which the petitioner is claiming for.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already made a detail representation in this regard to respondent no.2 vide Annexure P-3 and which is pending consideration till date and prays that

the present writ petition be disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to decide the same.

Not opposed by the State counsel.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to ensure that the representation which the petitioner has made is scrutinized and decided objectively taking into consideration all the contents which the petitioner has raised in his representation and also the Clause which has been relied upon by the petitioner so far as his claim for promotion is concerned. Let this exercise be concluded within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise respondent no.2 so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned. It is also clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion so far as the entitlement of the petitioner is concerned.
