... Respondents For Petitioner :

Mr. Saleem Kazi, Advocate.

Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 14/08/2019 1.

The limited prayer that the Counsel for the Petitioner makes at the outset is that the Petitioner's departmental appeal that he has preferred before Respondent No.2 be decided at the earliest.

2.

Brief facts of the case are that the Petitioner who is working as Assistant Grade-III was inflicted with a punishment vide order dated 27.10.2015 whereby he has been inflicted with the punishment of stoppage of two annual increments with cumulative effect. The Petitioner thereafter preferred an appeal before Respondent No.2 on 5.7.2017 and since then the said appeal is pending consideration before Respondent No.2 3.

Given the limited prayer that the Petitioner has made, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the present writ petition itself is disposed of with a direction to Respondent No.2 to decide the appeal preferred by the Petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4.

It shall be the responsibility of the Petitioner to apprise the Respondent No.2 about the order passed by this Court today.

5.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) JUDGE /sharad/
