1. The limited relief that the petitioners have sought for in the present writ petition is for an appropriate decision on the representation which the petitioners have made seeking the relief of counting their contractual services rendered as Assistant Professor in the Medical Education Department required for the next promotion to the post of Associate Professor.

2. The counsel for the petitioners has referred to an order dated 13.08.2015 passed by the Additional Secretary Medical Education Department Government of Chhattisgarh whereby the Government has taken a policy decision for counting their contractual services for the purpose of counting the period of minimum experience required for promotion to the post of Associate Professor. The counsel for the petitioners has also referred to an order dated 05.11.2015 based upon the said order whereby granting the similar benefit, the other Assistant Professors have already been promoted to the post of

Associate Professors by counting their contractual service period for the purpose of requisite experience required.

3. Counsel for the petitioners submits that they have already made a representation to the State Authorities, let the State Authorities take an appropriate decision in this regard.

4. The limited relief has not been opposed by the State Counsel.

5. Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition at this juncture is disposed of directing the respondent No. 1 to take a decision on the representation (Annexure P/11) at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
