1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has raised is that, though the petitioner retired from service on 31.01.2019 but till date he has not been paid with any retiral dues like pension, gratuity and leave encashment etc.
2. Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has made, let the respondents take an appropriate steps ensuring that the dues payable to the petitioner is processed and decided at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from today.
3. It is made clear that in case if the respondents fail to process the claim of the petitioner and settle the same within a period of 90 days, the entire retiral dues payable to the petitioner shall carry interest @ 10 percent per annum from the date it fell due till the date it is actually released to the petitioner. The respondent authorities would be at liberty to recover the
interest part from the erring officer who failed to take prompt steps for settlement of the dues payable to the petitioner. The payment of interest for the delayed payment would be applicable only in case if the delay occurs on the part of the respondent authorities and not on the part of the petitioner.
