1. Apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.12/2017 registered at Police Station- Ramkola, District - Surajpur, for offence punishable under Sections 420, 466, 467, 468, 477, 477(A), 506 and 120 of the Indian Penal Code, the applicants have preferred this application for grant of anticipatory bail.

2. Case of the prosecution in brief is that the present Applicants for the purpose of obtaining employment in the Police Department have tampered with the documents in the school so as to get the date of birth of the Applicant No. 1 as was entered in the original register of the school as 01.09.1983 to be corrected as 01.09.1986. In the process the Applicant No.1 had entrusted the Applicant No.2 who in

turn had taken assistance of three other accused persons like headmaster, clerks of the school, etc. for obtaining the original records of the school and thereafter the Applicant No.2 is said to have tampered with the date of birth of the Applicant No.1.

3. Taking into consideration the gravity of the offence alleged and also considering the statements which have been recorded during the course of the investigation, this Court is of the opinion that present is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail.
