The limited grievance that the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that the husband of the petitioner working on the post of Assistant Teacher (Panchayat) died in harness on 24.04.2018. The petitioner immediately filed an application for compassionate appointment on 21.05.2018 and also made repeated reminders to the same, but till date no decision has been taken by the respondents.

Given the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would serve if the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents No. 5 to consider the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in accordance with the policy governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
