Order On Board 10/09/2015 The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to respondents to expeditiously complete the investigation and submit report before the Magistrate alleging that the police authorities are not taking expeditious steps after registration of FIR.

In the first round of litigation, a direction was sought to register FIR. This Court passed an order on 31/03/15 in WP(Cr) No.79/15. Thereafter, at petitioner's own showing, FIR has been registered on 20/05/15 in connection with commission of bailable offence.

Considering the totality of circumstances, period which has elapsed by now, there is no need for the Writ Court to issue any direction in the matter. The police shall expeditiously conclude the matter in accordance with the provisions contained in CrPC in the matter of submission of final report. The petition is finally disposed off.
