1. Challenge in the present writ petition is the action on the part of the respondents in not taking a decision on the objection/representation that the petitioners have submitted in the light of the order of the Inspector General of Police, Raipur Range dated 06.09.2021 pertaining to the promotion process for filling up of the post of Assistant Sub Inspector from the post of Head Constable.

2. Given the fact that the respondents have themselves called upon the representation/objection, it is expected that the respondents shall take a

-2decision at the earliest on the representation/objection that have been submitted by the ineligible candidates.

3. Without expressing any opinion so far as entitlement of the petitioners are concerned, the objections shall be decided at the earliest preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Meanwhile, any promotion order made, the same shall be subject to outcome of the decision to be taken by the respondents on the representation/objection filed by the petitioners.
