The limited grievance that the petitioners have raised in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not deciding the application put forth by the petitioners seeking dependent employment.

According to the petitioners, the husband of the petitioner No.1 has expired on 19.04.2000 and at the time of the death, the deceased and the petitioner No.1 had no issue and therefore the petitioner No.2 was adopted by the petitioner No.1 and since the petitioner

No.2 was a minor at that point of time, the application has been moved on the petitioner No.2 attaining the age of majority. 3.

Be that as it may, since there is an application moved by the petitioners and no decision has been taken by the respondents, the writ petition at this juncture can be disposed of directing the respondents No.1 & 2 to ensure that the application for dependent employment moved by the petitioners is decided at the earliest within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits, so far as the entitlement of the petitioner for the dependent employment is concerned.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
