1. The limited grievance that the petitioners have raised in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to comply with the order Annexure P/1 from the effective date as reflected in the said order.

2. According to the petitioners, the benefits of revised pay-scale which was payable to the petitioners on completion of eight years of services in-terms-of the circular of the respondents, have been duly scrutinized by the respondents and they have already taken a decision vide order dated 17.03.2020 for extending the benefits of revised pay-scale to the petitioners. However, the said benefits have till date not been extended to the petitioners from the date they became eligible for the same but

have been implemented prospectively from the date of issuance of the order dated 17.03.2020. The petitioners through the present writ petition claimed for arrears of payment of revised pay-scale from the date they became eligible for the said benefits till the date the actual payment is made.

Given the limited grievance that the petitioners have, subject to verification of the facts so far as entitlement is concerned, the present writ petition at this juncture is disposed of directing the respondents No. 2 to 5 to ensure that the benefits of Annexure P/1 as ordered is extended in its letter and spirit by clearing the arrears of payment at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. If the arrears are not released within the stipulated period of 90 days, the entire amount of arrears shall carry interest @ 10% per annum from the date of the order dated 17.03.2020, till the actual payment is made.
