1. The limited grievance that the petitioners have raised in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to comply with the order Annexure P/1 from the effective date as reflected in the said order.

2. According to the petitioners, the benefits of revised pay-scale, which was payable to the petitioners on completion of 8 years of service in-terms-of the circular of the respondents, was ordered to be paid to the petitioners vide Annexure P/1 dated 22.02.2020. It is specifically shown that the

-2petitioners are entitled for the same from 16.06.2014, 03.08.2013 and 03.01.2017 respectively. However, the petitioners have not been given the benefits from the said date but have been given the benefits only prospectively from the date of issuance of the order dated 22.02.2020. The Petitioner's claim is for the arrears of payment of the said revised payscale for the period from 16.06.2014, 03.08.2013 and 03.01.2017 till the payment was made in February 2020.

Given the limited grievance that the petitioners have, subject to verification of the facts so far as entitlement is concerned, the present writ petition at this juncture is disposed off directing the respondents No. 2 to 4 to ensure that the benefit of Annexure P/1 as ordered is extended in its letter and spirit by clearing the arrears of payment at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. If the arrears are not released within the stipulated period of 90 days, the entire amount of arrears shall carry interest @ 10% per annum from the date of the order dated 22.02.2020, till the actual payment is made.
