The limited grievance which the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is the selection process for the post of Patwari. 2.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner stood at serial no.2 in the waiting list. There are two persons who have not reported for joining after the offer being made. The person at serial no.1 in the waiting list has already been called for by the respondents. Therefore, the respondents should have offered a similar offer to the petitioner as well which has till date not been done and for which the petitioner has made a representation on 05.07.2018 Annexure P-7 which is still pending consideration.

Given the aforesaid factual matrix of the case which is not in dispute and the counsel for the respondents also does not have any objection if the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to take a decision on the representation of the petitioner particularly keeping in mind the status of the petitioner in the waiting list as also the number of persons who have not joined though the offer being made. Let this exercise be done within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. It shall be the duty of the petitioner to apprise respondent no.2 so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned. It is expected that respondent no.2 shall keep one seat vacant till the representation of the petitioner is finally decided by it.
