2. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking direction to respondent No.2 to consider his representation for transfer to a place of his option as per policy dated 08-12-2011 (Annexure P-3).

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that as daughter of the petitioner is suffering from severe disability of 'HA" category, a recommendation in favour of the petitioner was made vide memo dated 04-03-2016, but even then, the petitioner has been transferred to some other unit. It is also submitted that as the petitioner is a member of disciplined force, he has already joined at the new place of posting. However, his request for modification of order has not been
considered, despite representation made.

Taking into consideration the aforesaid representation, nature of disability which the petitioner's daughter is suffering from as also policy dated 08-12-2011 and recommendation letter dated 04-03-2016, it would be proper to direct the respondent No.2 to examine the petitioner's grievance in accordance with their own policy of transfer and posting and take decision thereon on petitioner's request for modification of transfer order to the place of his option. The decision shall be taken within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
