1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.98/2020 registered in Police Station Bhatgaon, District Surajpur for offence under Section 20 (B) of the NDPS Act.

2. The applicant and the co-accused were found in illicit possession of 1 kg 400 grams of cannabis during the search on 18.10.2020.

3. Considering the quantity of contraband recovered from the joint possession of the present applicant and the co-accused and for the fact that the concerned SHO has not reported any previous antecedents of committing similar nature of crime, he is in jail since 18.10.2020 and the charge sheet has already been filed, I am inclined to release the applicant on bail.

4. Accordingly, the application is allowed and the applicant is directed to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of

MCRC 8609/2020 Rs.50,000/- with one surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court. He is directed to appear before the trial Court on each and every date given by the said Court.
