1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition seems to be the inaction on the part of the respondents in not deciding the application of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

2. According to the petitioner, his mother was an employee under the respondents who died in harness on 02.03.2020. It is also the contention of the petitioner that his father had expired much earlier and as such he was fully dependent upon his mother, the deceased

employee. According to the petitioner, after death of his mother he had immediately moved an appropriate application for grant of compassionate appointment, however, the same till date has not been decided by the respondents.

3. Given the aforesaid factual matrix of the case, the respondent no.2 is directed to process the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
