1. The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is for grant of compassionate appointment.

2. At the outset, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition for the reason that the death of the employee took place on 10.06.1997. The present writ petition has been filed after more than 22 years on 08.08.2019. Another reason for not entertaining the writ petition is that the petitioner as on date is aged more than 48 years and the

maximum age limit within which a person can be given employment is 45 years which is inclusive of all relaxation, if any. The petitioner having crossed the said age also is not entitled for compassionate appointment. Moreover, it is not a case where the petitioner was a minor on the date of death of the employee. As per the pleadings, on the date of death of the employee, the petitioner was around 26 years of age i.e. he was a major and the present writ petition is being filed after more than 22 years from the date of death of the employee.

3. For all these reasons, this Court does not find any good reason for entertaining the writ petition. The writ petition accordingly stands dismissed.
