1. The applicant has preferred this bail application under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C., as he has been arrested in connection with Crime No.117/2020, registered at Police Station Farasgaon, District Kondagaon (C.G.) for the offence punishable under Section 20(B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

2. As per the secret information received by the Police, the applicant was searched and found in illicit possession of 2 kilograms of contraband Cannabis on 11-11-2020.

3. Learned State counsel would oppose the prayer for grant of bail. However, she submits that concerned Station House Officer has not reported any previous antecedent of having committed similar nature of crime.

4. Considering the quantity of contraband recovered from the applicant and for the fact that he is in jail since 11-11-2020 and also the charge sheet has already been filed, I am inclined to release the applicant on bail.

5. Accordingly, the bail application is allowed and the applicant is directed to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.50,000/- with one surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court. He is directed to appear before the trial Court on each and every date given by the said Court.
