1. Aggrieved by the order of punishment dated 29.06.2021 (Annexure P/1), the present writ petition has been filed.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that though the impugned order is dated 29.06.2021 but the petitioner has been served upon with a copy of the same only on 13.09.2021.

3. A perusal of the impugned order would reveal that the order is an appealable order under the Disciplinary Rules governing the field. The petitioner seems to have not preferred an appeal.

4. In view of the contention of the petitioner that he has received the order only on 13.09.2021, the petitioner is granted further three weeks time to prefer an appeal before the Appellate Authority assailing the impugned order Annexure P/1. In the event if the petitioner prefers an appeal within the period of three weeks from today, the Appellate Authority is expected to take a decision on the appeal strictly on its own merits within a further period of 60 days from the date of receipt of the appeal by the petitioner.
