The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner claiming for salary between 01/12/2012 to 30/04/2013.

It is a case where after the petitioner superannuated from service, the respondents had granted an extension of service to the petitioner and the petitioner had discharged duties for the period between 01/12/2012 to 30/04/2013.

The fact that the petitioner was granted an extension of time is not in dispute. The fact that the petitioner has discharged his duties during the said period is also not in dispute. If that be so, the petitioner is therefore entitled for wages for the period he has worked. Hence, subject to the verification as to whether the petitioner in fact has discharged his duties between 01/12/2012 to 30/04/2013, the respondents are directed to ensure releasing all the salary to the petitioner for the period that he has worked with the respondents since 01/12/2012. 4.

Let this exercise be done within a period of 60 days from today. 5.
